* About the Teacher * Mrs. Kinoshita *
* Classroom Expectations *1. SHOW RESPECT
Everyone is required to show respect to one another both inside and outside the classroom. We treat each other the way we would want to be treated. We show respect by being good listeners, following directions, and raising our hands to be called on. When someone is speaking, we quietly listen and wait until it is our turn to speak. 2. MAKE GOOD DECISIONS Every day we make many, many choices. We always try to make better choices about who to partner with in class, how we pay attention in class, and how we treat others. 3. SOLVE PROBLEMS This goes along with making good decisions. Making good decisions can often solve a problem. An important part of our personal growth and development is learning how to figure things out using our critical thinking skills. 4. PRACTICE KINDNESS TODAY My goal and motivator in life is to spread kindness and put good into the world. We often do not know or realize what others around us are going through. It is important to be considerate of others and choose to be kind. I want my students to be known for being kind, understanding, and supportive. It is my goal for students to become more aware of how their actions affect others and exercise empathy by imagining what's it's like to be in another person's shoes. How you choose to treat others matters. "Each little thing we do goes out, like a ripple, into the world." - Ms. Albert from the book Each Kindness Written by Jacqueline Woodson Distance Learning Requirements for 2020-2021There is an addendum that has been added to the Student Handbooks for this school year.
