Shop the flyers for our grade with your child: https://scholastic-clubs.mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?i=675889
Please let me know if you've placed an order. :)
I created an account years ago for my classroom, but haven't used it in awhile. I don't know how long it will take for the books to ship to your home, but please do not opt to ship them to the school - several deliveries have been turned away since the school office is usually closed.
*NEW* During the COVID crisis, you can choose where to have your books shipped: to your home or delivered to me with our class order. With a $25 order, you will get FREE shipping and a FREE Book (use code: READS).
All orders also earn FREE Books for our class. Thank you for your support!
Please feel free to forward the Class Page link to extended family and friends who may want to support your child’s reading.

Here is a link to Mr. Orr's 5th Grade websites. There are some for coding online, typing, reading, math, etc.
Mr. Orr's 5th Grade Websites
Mr. Orr recently shared these links with teachers for CSED (Computer Science Education Week) I copied and pasted his messages below. :)
Code Academy - a free site where you can take tutorials in almost any programming language. Just sign up and give it a go. I recommend you start with Python, it's the most popular programming language because it is user friendly.
Google Grasshopper - if you are a little intimidated by Code Academy and all the languages overwhelm you, try Grasshopper. It is learning to code in Java. It is free and uses blocks that you drag to make your code.
